     Carbon molecular sieve is a new type of adsorbent developed in the 1970s. It is an excellent non-polar carbon material. Carbon Molecular Sieves (CMS) is used to separate air and enrich nitrogen. Compared with the traditional cryogenic high-pressure nitrogen production process, the low-pressure nitrogen process has the advantages of less investment cost, faster nitrogen production, and lower nitrogen cost. Therefore, it is the preferred pressure swing adsorption (P.S.A) air separation nitrogen-rich adsorbent in the engineering industry. This nitrogen is used in the chemical industry, oil and gas industry, electronics industry, food industry, coal industry, pharmaceutical industry, cable industry, metal heat treatment , transportation and storage are widely used.



Precautions:

The carbon molecular sieves produced by most manufacturers are not much different in appearance, so it is difficult for users to distinguish whether it is an imported molecular sieve or a domestic molecular sieve just by observing the appearance of the molecular sieve. But there is one point, if the manufacturer claims to use high-quality imported molecular sieve when purchasing equipment, but the price is far lower than the market price, then be careful. It is impossible for equipment manufacturers to sell equipment at a loss if they are not sold well. Buying equipment with domestic molecular sieves inside is not terrible, but buying domestic molecular sieves at the price of imported molecular sieves will result in huge losses.

We know that the use of carbon molecular sieve pressure swing adsorption to produce nitrogen relies on van der Waals force to separate oxygen and nitrogen. Therefore, the larger the specific surface area of the molecular sieve, the more uniform the pore size distribution, and the more the number of micropores or sub-micropores, the higher the adsorption capacity. At the same time, if the pore size can be as small as possible, the van der Waals force field overlaps, and it also has a better separation effect on low-concentration substances. Therefore, in PSA nitrogen production equipment, the performance of molecular sieve is directly related to the gas production and energy consumption of the whole set of equipment. Therefore, the selection of suitable adsorbents is the top priority.
